Laura Lee awarded AAS NEAC Japan Studies Grant

Laura Lee, assistant professor in Modern Languages, has been awarded an Association for Asian Studies (AAS) NEAC Japan Studies Grant. According to the AAS website, this grant program is "designed to facilitate the research of individual scholars, to improve the quality of teaching about Japan on both the college and precollege levels, and to integrate the study of Japan into the major academic disciplines in the United States." These activities are financially assisted by the Japan-United States Friendship Commission and the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies.
