Extraordinary Accomplishments Program

In June of 2013, Provost Garnett Stokes initiated the Extraordinary Accomplishments Program. This is an ongoing incentive program which recognizes FSU faculty achievements and encourages research development. It honors all awards designated by the NRC as Prestigious and Highly Prestigious.

Alternative Exceptional Award

Awards approved as the equivalent of “Prestigious” and now eligible for a $5,000 permanent salary increase include: 

  • Folger Shakespeare Library Senior Fellowship; 
  • Harvard University Center for Hellenic Studies Fellowship; 
  • Department of Energy Early Career Award; 
  • National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) Early Career Research Award; 
  • United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Award;
  • Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Young Faculty Award;
  • AERA Fellow;
  • Association for Jewish Studies Jordan Schnitzer Book Award; 
  • American Philosophical Association Sanders Book Prize;
  • DAAD Research Grant

The deadlines for Fall 2014 Cycle 2 are as follows:

The deadlines for Spring 2015 Cycle 1 are as follows:

  • Opened for petition submission: 10/23/2014,
  • Close date for submission: 1/19/2015,
  • Letter from professional colleague due: 1/16/2015,
  • Awards Committee is scheduled to meet: 2/18/2015.

The deadlines for Spring 2015 Cycle 2 are as follows:

  • Close date for submission: 3/23/2015,
  • Letter from professional colleague due: 3/20/2015,
  • Awards Committee is scheduled to meet: 4/20/2015.
