Extraordinary Accomplishments Program

In June of 2013, Provost Garnett Stokes initiated the Extraordinary Accomplishments Program. This is an ongoing incentive program which recognizes FSU faculty achievements and encourages research development. It honors all awards designated by the NRC as Prestigious and Highly Prestigious.

Alternative Exceptional Award

Awards approved as the equivalent of “Prestigious” and now eligible for a $5,000 permanent salary increase include: 

  • Folger Shakespeare Library Senior Fellowship; 
  • Harvard University Center for Hellenic Studies Fellowship; 
  • Department of Energy Early Career Award; 
  • National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) Early Career Research Award; 
  • United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Award;
  • Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Young Faculty Award;
  • American Educational Research Association (AERA) Fellow;
  • Association for Jewish Studies Jordan Schnitzer Book Award; 
  • American Philosophical Association (APA) Sanders Book Prize;
  • DAAD Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists;
  • DAAD Visiting Professorship;
  • Doris Duke Performing Artist Award;
  • Army Research Office Young Investigator Award;
  • National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Collaborative Research Grant;
  • American Chemical Society (ACS) Exxon Mobil Award;
  • ASPA-NASPAA Distinguished Research Award;
  • Folger Directorship of the Colloquium;
  • Norris J. Lacy Prize for Outstanding Editorial Achievement in Arthurian Studies
